The Firehawk didn't start as a product. It started as a commission: Duncan Keith — three-time Stanley Cup champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist, one of the NHL's 100 Greatest Players — wanted red and near-infrared output at a scale nothing on the market delivered, for the demands of an elite career. We built it for him. Then we built it for everyone who wants the same thing: the maximum red and NIR output we know how to put in a single standing system. 4,425W. And the name? Keith spent years as an alternate captain of the Chicago Blackhawks. Firehawk.
Since then, NHL teams have bought Firehawks for their own facilities, and some of the best athletes in the world use EMR-TEK — including Chris Bumstead, six-time Classic Physique Mr. Olympia champion and the most decorated Classic Physique bodybuilder in history, who uses our Inferno PRO and is on our site in his own words. The light is shaped like you
The Firehawk's [25] integrated 75W COB chips aren't scattered across the panel — they're arranged as a standing human figure. Head, shoulders, spine, hips, down both legs to the feet: stand in front of it and each chip meets its counterpart on your body, delivering concentrated output where there's the most tissue depth beneath the surface, with roughly [875] LEDs filling the field around them for complete coverage. Some will recognize the points from traditional meridian maps. We designed around anatomy and the research; the tradition happens to land in the same places. Look at the panel and you'll see it.
Sized for a 6-foot-1 athlete — and honest about it
A COB figure drawn for a body has to be drawn for a particular body, and this one was built around Keith's 6-foot-1 frame — on its base, the unit stands 6 feet 3 inches — so the alignment fits anyone from about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 3 inches standing flat on the floor. Shorter than that? You'll want a sturdy step or prop box to bring your midline up to the chips — a small thing, but we'd rather tell you now than let you find out. No UV, by design: if you want the full spectrum with UVA and UVB, that's the Ultron, in the same footprint.
So powerful, we move you back
At 4,425W, the Firehawk follows our line's physics at its largest scale: output at the source is high enough that your session belongs at 16 to 24 inches, where irradiance stays strong and the system's electromagnetic fields are below detectable levels. Meanwell industrial-grade drivers run the entire unit — 0% flicker, no detectable magnetic field.
The wavelengths
Cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme at the center of photobiomodulation research, has absorption peaks near 630nm, 670nm, and 830nm — so those are the Firehawk's three, the same as our Firewave. 630nm and 670nm red are absorbed in the dermis and studied for their interaction with fibroblast activity; 830nm near-infrared penetrates centimeters into muscle, joint, and connective tissue. 830nm is invisible to the eye — wear the included blackout goggles every session.

Standing steel-frame design — the light itself is 5 feet 10.5 inches tall, 28 inches wide, and 5.7 inches deep (1790 × 710 × 143.8 mm), weighing 176 pounds (80 kg). It ships on its rolling base, which adds 4.7 inches of height for a total standing height of 6 feet 3 inches, and lets you roll the unit between rooms without lifting it. Manual controls, independent timer — no apps, no remotes. And it works anywhere in the world — the built-in voltage converter handles any grid, we ship the right power cord for your country, and traveling with it takes nothing more than a plug adapter.

The unit opens like a butterfly for maintenance — full access to the internals without disassembly — and in five years we've never needed it for anything but incorrect installation. How to use it
Stand so the COB figure lines up with your body — head to head, feet to feet — on a step or box if you're under about 5 feet 10 inches. Start with 5 minutes and build to 20 per session. Position at 16 to 24 inches — this is the highest red/NIR output we make, and that distance is where it's designed to be used. Goggles every session. Up to 5 sessions per week.
Want full-spectrum in the same footprint? The Ultron adds UVA and 311nm narrowband UVB. Want the same wavelengths in a smaller system? The Inferno PRO is the near full-body panel with five COB modules on the body's midline — the one Chris Bumstead uses.
